Abstract: The article gives methodology-theoretical points of providing financial safety of a bank which consist of reasonable system of its implementation principles, key characteristics and the main objectives, as well as the list of internal and external threats which may constitute danger to realisation of interests and priority purposes of a bank institution, understanding of which allows to create a reliable system ensuring financial safety of a bank. The specified determination of the concept "financial safety of a bank" is complex and provides realisation of system of actions ensuring financial safety of a separate bank, as well as a banking system as a whole for self-defence, self-development and self-preservation of national banking sector in the conditions of strengthening of macroeconomic instability in the country and the world.
