Abstract: The article considers scientific and practical issues of improvement of the quality management systems on the basis of their auditing and studies the problem of improvement of methodical approaches to auditing systems of management of quality of activity of agrarian companies. It identifies essence of the audit of the quality management system, offers definition of the "audit of the system of management of quality of activity of an agrarian company" notion. It substantiates tasks of the audit of the quality management system of an agrarian company. It conducts analysis of main types of the audit of the quality management system and develops an algorithm of the process of internal audit of the system of management of quality of activity of an agrarian company. It improves methods of audit and forms a complex of indicators for identifying effectiveness of the process of internal audit of the system of management of quality of activity of an agrarian company. It develops methodical approaches to assessment of volume of labour needed for conducting internal audit of the system of management of quality of activity of an agrarian company.
