Abstract: The article justifies a dialectic interconnection between the economic and investment mechanisms of an enterprise, which is mediated with the financial mechanism. The investment mechanism of the enterprise is divided into two components: mechanism of investment provision and management of investments, for which principles, functions and realisation tools are identified. The authors offer own definition of the "mechanism of investment provision of an innovation project". The article identifies main determinants of investment provision of innovation development of electric energy enterprises. It conducts assessment of efficiency of the mechanism of investment provision of innovation projects of electric energy companies for three sources of investment means: IPO, bond issue and loans.
