Urbanisation in Kenya

Abstract:
Like most of Africa, Kenya is also characterised by rapid urbanisation and urban growth. This article discusses and analyses current trends in Kenyan urbanisation, the factors that have contributed to urbanisation and urban growth, and the resultant consequences and development implications of such rapid urbanisation and urban growth in the country. The article ends with recommendations for managing rapid urbanisation in Kenya.
