Examining the intention to use mobile banking: an expansion of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology with information quality

Abstract: Mobile banking is one of the bank services that has adapted to technological advancements in order to make banking transactions more convenient. In Indonesia, however, digital banking is advancing rapidly, but 'mobile banking' acceptance remains low. Therefore, this study aims to predict bank clients' intention to use 'mobile banking'. This study uses a quantitative approach and survey method to examine the bank clients in Indonesia regarding 'mobile banking' services. Structural equation modelling through smart PLS was employed to analyse 396 collected data. The findings indicated that performance expectancy was the strongest predictor, followed by facilitating conditions and information quality. While effort expectancy and social influence have no important influence. The contribution of this study is to give new insight into the 'mobile banking' literature regarding the importance of information quality.
