Abstract:
This study focuses on impact of workplace dimensions (job stress, job satisfaction, and organisational commitment) on employee turnover intention in the hotel industry. The study adopted a quantitative research approach and collected primary data through a questionnaire from the employees of 3-star and 4-star hotels in Hyderabad, Telangana. A bivariate correlation and structural equation modelling (SEM) is used to identify the workplace dimensions impacting employee turnover intention. The findings thus stated that 'job stress' has a higher influence on the 'turnover intention' followed by organisational commitment. The management must focus to improve on the parameters of job stress and organisational commitment so as to minimise employee turnover intention. Job stress ranks higher over other two antecedents that influence turnover intention. Parallel comparison of three variables with equal weightage adds novelty to the study.
