A holistic framework for the assessment of faculty

Jayanthi Ranjan and Pooja Tripathi

International Journal of Business Information Systems, 2011, vol. 7, issue 2, 181-206

Abstract: In this article, we analysed and discussed a novel approach to competency modelling of the faculty explicitly aligned with strategic institutional needs and oriented to long term future success. In this paper, we have tried to propose a holistic model for the performance assessment of faculty, by studying the practical approach to assess the faculty and integrated it with the overall competency management and teaching learning process for the individual faculty and the institution as a whole. Further research lies in the integration of the whole concept with the expert system approach in decision making.
