Abstract:
The strategic exploitation of human capital is a cornerstone for the success of organisations through attaining competitive position. In doing so, it is to recognise well the function of employees' performance. On top of this, the main objective of the study was to examine the effect of determinant factors on employees' job performance in the case of education and the civil service bureau of Assosa Zone. Data was gathered through a structured questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale. Descriptive and explanatory research designs were employed. Cronbach's alpha and factor analysis were predominantly used to verify the reliability and validity of the instrument. The Pearson correlation coefficient result revealed that all explanatory variables were positively and significantly correlated with the predicted variable at 99% level of confidence. Moreover, excluding organisational culture, all variables had positive effects on employees' job performance. All variables except training had significant contribution to the employees' performance.
