Determinant factors of agribusiness firms' supply chain management practice: a systematic literature review

Abstract: Agribusiness supply chain management (ASCM) plays a pivotal role in ensuring global food security and economic stability, yet its unique determinants remain underexplored in the literature. This study systematically reviews existing research to identify and analyse the key determinant factors influencing ASCM practices. Adopting the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) methodology, the review analysed 24 peer-reviewed papers from ScienceDirect, Scopus, and Google Scholar, spanning the period from 2000 to mid-2023. The findings reveal a growing interest in the topic, as evidenced by a diverse range of publications. Key determinants identified include supplier management, supply chain integration, IT implementation, sustainability, and trust. Our review also highlights research gaps, particularly the need for more empirical studies and a broader geographic focus. These findings are crucial for agribusiness managers seeking to improve their supply chain practices.
