Srikanta Routroy

International Journal of Business Performance and Supply Chain Modelling, 2009, vol. 1, issue 4, 290-306

Abstract: Today, the manufacturing companies are not competing at the individual level but it is the manufacturing supply chains that are competing with each other. Therefore, the success or failure in the market place is decided by the performance of the manufacturing supply chain. The major issue of any manufacturing supply chain is to select the appropriate supply chain strategy for enhancement of the customer satisfaction and achievement of the optimal performance in order to increase the supply chain revenue and profit. This paper discusses different supply chain strategies. An AHP model is presented for evaluating and selecting the supply chain strategy in the manufacturing environment. A case study has been developed in order to explain the salient features of the concepts.
