International Journal of Business Performance and Supply Chain Modelling, 2014, vol. 6, issue 1, 40-60

Abstract: There has been exponential increase in the research of supply chain performance measurement system (SCPMS). Successful supply chains use measurement systems as a driver to achieve their organisational goals and process effectiveness. Various frameworks designed for SCPMS have been studied to study the research gaps and limitations and need arise for development of proactive and integrated PMS; also an approach is needed to focus the SCM with different perspective. Selecting appropriate supply chain performance measures is difficult due to complexity of these systems. The measures for SCPMS should be functions based. The objective of this paper is to suggest an integrated SCPMS for the production process activities, useful for internal supply chain management. The development of SCPMS is criteria dependent, hence proposed use of analytical hierarchy process (AHP) for deciding the ranking prioritising the criteria, and to integrate the improvement process Six Sigma metrics is used. The selection of performance measures/metrics group also kept unique and precisely related with actual production process. Metric groups are inventory scheduling, production operation scheduling and human resource scheduling.
