Abstract:
The evolution of the development of Small and Medium Size (SMS) companies from Timisoara and Timis County is extremely interesting. About 16 years after the changing of the regime, there are perfectly structured companies, which are able to further develop in a scientific and healthy way, and yet there are fragile companies, which are on the verge of facing harsh difficulties. This paper aims to analyse the development of SMEs in the last 16 years. It also forecasts their future development, taking into consideration the development of the production systems, the joining process to the European Union impact of information technology upon this.
