Abstract: Radio frequency identification (RFID) has garnered a great deal of research interest, especially for technological and case studies. However, factors influencing organisational satisfaction with RFID implementation have not received adequate attention in management literature. Hence, this research develops an exploratory model that was based on the literature of innovation diffusion and implementation. The empirical analysis of 74 businesses that have implemented RFID suggests that the pressure from trading partners is the most influential factor to the organisational satisfaction, and centralisation, external support and complexity also affects the satisfaction of organisation. The implications for future research and management are discussed.
