Abstract:
The financial crisis of 2008 came to the public's attention with the decline of house price in the USA. Many experts and economists believe it came through a combination of a number of factors in both housing and credit markets. This crisis has slowed growth in a number of economies, suggesting that disruptions in financial markets can have important macroeconomic consequences. In this paper, we present the US credit markets and explain the origins and effects of the 2008 financial crisis. We also examine the evolution of the liability of credit markets in the USA and its responses to the financial crisis of 2008.
