Abstract:
The paper aims at investigating factors that could affect the likelihood of changing job of PhD holders in the fields of social sciences and humanities (SSH). We use data collected through a survey developed within the POCARIM project (funded by the EC under the EUFP7) in order to analyse variations in PhDs' career paths in a longitudinal dimension: we consider the career of each agent as a whole and investigate what elements related to individual features can influence career's entropy in terms of changes of sector and/or country.
