Strategic entrepreneurial behaviours in family businesses

Abstract:
This introductory article shares the highlights of the articles in this special issue of the International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management – entrepreneurial behaviour in family businesses. Collectively, these articles suggest the importance to future orientation, disciplined regeneration and strategic professionalisation of entrepreneurial family firms that sustain high performance across life cycles of individual leaders and their businesses. Comparisons of findings of studies in this issue with other recent literature on family firms, reveals several areas for future research and implications for practice.
