Abstract:
The aim of the present work is to identify a set of relevant constructs at the individual level and provide empirical evidence about how they are directly and indirectly related - by their moderating effect in other relations where constructs at other levels of analysis intervene - to the innovation management. To this end, after stating the theoretical bases and methodology of the study, the results of an empirical research work conducted on a sample of 233 firms are presented. Firstly, we contrasted the existence of three independent dimensions in the abilities of manager by applying a factorial analysis. Then we analysed the influence of the abilities of the manager in innovation management by means of regression analysis. This work concludes that the ability of the manager bears a relation with innovation management.
