Needs of business assistance programmes to stages of growth in Korean venture companies

Sang Suk Lee

International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, 2005, vol. 5, issue 1/2, 155-164

Abstract: This paper mainly concerns the issue of how to help venture companies be successful in terms of consulting needs. Thus, the key question asked of managers in Korea was, "Could a Korean venture company require different needs on Business Assistance Programs for each of its growth stages"? After various data analyses, business managers/entrepreneurs had different perceptions regarding the requirements of the consulting services they received at each of the growth stages. In addition, the implications are found that the consulting needs were identified in depth for Korean venture companies according to each phase of growth.
