Abstract:
Today, the efficient production management in networks is a complex problem, particularly in distributed and dynamic production environments. Therefore, at the beginning, the objective of the studies is a short analysis of the concept and forms of inter-organisational cooperation from a viewpoint of the operating decision making. Next, this article introduces to genetic algorithms and provides a brief survey of the evolutionary-based methods for planning and scheduling in supply networks. Based on a genetic algorithm, this research develops an optimisation method for the joint planning and scheduling in local supply networks. Finally, an experimental verification of the proposed genetic algorithm is reported and representative examples are provided to show that the suggested new method can improve planning and scheduling in local supply networks.
