Abstract:
Industry is the back bone of every country. A wealth of the country will be measured always in terms of their social, economical and industrial growth. An industry success always depends on various parameters including their machineries and equipments. Welding is the one of the very important terminology used in mechanical engineering. Joining the two metals the welding is playing a vital role. Different types of welding, different types of joints, different types of process, etc., are the few in welding terminology. In latest technology of welding is laser welding. There are many advantages in laser welding and also different technique to be followed in this laser welding. There are many process parameters are used through laser welding technology and chose the best one will be selected through analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method. Here in this paper, the selection process parameters for laser welding of 304 stainless steel using AHP method is described by selecting three process parameter variables like laser power, welding speed and welding angle of incidence and three response parameters like penetration depth, weld width and shear strength.
Keywords: AHP; laser welding; welding speed; angle of incidence; shear force; weld width; weld penetration depth; stainless steel 304. (search for similar items in EconPapers)
