Learning from Lagnado about self-employment and entrepreneurship in Egypt

Abstract: Lucette (Loulou) Lagnado is an investigative journalist for The Wall Street Journal, and from her memoirs much can be learned about self-employment, small business, and entrepreneurship. She counts among the almost one million Jewish persons who have been ethnically cleansed from Muslim countries during the past 65 years; the stories of these refugees are little known. In her books, Lagnado recounts a typical true story and also teaches the reader about enterprise and livelihood in pre-revolutionary Egypt, and beyond.
