Abstract: This study sought to identify pull and push factors of entrepreneurs in Khulna, a divisional city located at southern part of Bangladesh. Data were collected from entrepreneurs currently involved in business in this city using a structured questionnaire. A Likert type five-point scale was constructed to trap the opinions of respondents about their thinking on pull and push factors affected them to be an entrepreneur. A causal model was developed to find out pull and push factors. This study found pull factors as challenging jobs, enjoying freedom and autonomy in job, gaining more security in jobs and continuing family business traditions. On the other hand, push factors are earning more income, hassle and complexity in organisation and economic necessity.
