Transport and environmental research in the UK

Abstract: This short paper reviews recent research on transport and the environment in the UK in terms of its intrinsic characteristics and its metacharacteristics. It was originally intended to contribute to the European Science Foundation's programme, Tackling Environmental Resource Management (TERM), which has reviewed much on this type of research across Europe.
