Abstract:
Aircraft noise has a negative impact on consumer welfare in the regions affected. One of the consequences is that property values decrease. This paper gives a survey of studies from various countries on the relationship between the volume of aircraft noise and the values of dwellings. A meta-analysis is carried out to arrive at a synthesis of these studies and to find factors that explain the variance in the outcomes found in the studies.
