Abstract:
Increasing energy demand for building has made it imperative that energy conservation is an emergency in China. In this paper, calculation methodology on energy performance of residential building envelopes is studied by the Evaluation of Envelope Thermal Performance (EETP) index, the parameters related to EETP indexes are calculated from the eQUEST software. The formulae about energy performance of residential building envelopes in cooling season, heating season and the whole year in Changsha of China with EETPc, EETPh, and EETPy have been built; this calculation methodology are much simpler than the eQUEST on comparing the relative energy efficiency of different building envelope designs.
