Abstract:
Energy conservation policy plays an important role in energy resource deficit situations. The potential for conservation in heat supply systems has great significance for Russia and other countries in the Northern latitudes. This potential saving of power resources in Russian cities is presented in this paper. Modern Russian and foreign experiences of energy conservation in municipal power systems and the most important principles and elements of this conservation are explored. Classification of the main socio-economic and ecological factors in the area of energy conservation is also outlined.
