New energy infrastructure development in the Asia-Pacific region

Abstract: The paper analyses the current status and future development of energy infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region, which is considered as a precondition for regional economic growth. In particular, emphasis is given to natural gas, oil, coal and electricity. The paper includes a description of opportunities for regional energy trade and cooperation, which could provide solutions to energy security and environmental problems in the region.
