Abstract:
Transient behaviour of co-current and countercurrent parallel flow three-fluid heat exchanger with all the three fluids unmixed, has been numerically investigated for perturbations provided in flow. Results are presented for step change in flow rate of all the three fluids. It has been found that the mean exit temperature is greatly affected due to variation in the flow rate and thereby affecting the rate of heat transfer among the three fluids.
