International Journal of Global Energy Issues, 2020, vol. 42, issue 3/4, 162-177

Abstract: In order to overcome the long research cycle of traditional urban energy use efficiency and improve the urban low energy use efficiency, the influence of drainage system transformation on urban energy use efficiency was studied. With SWMM tool, the drainage system is comprehensively reformed and a new drainage network system is constructed. According to the time dimension and energy utilisation structure, this paper analyses the influence of drainage system on improving urban energy utilisation efficiency, calculates the elasticity coefficient of urban energy utilisation efficiency, and studies the influence of drainage system transformation on urban energy utilisation efficiency. The experimental results show that the urban energy utilisation efficiency after the drainage system transformation is above 65%, and the study period is only 10 hours, which proves that the improved drainage system can effectively improve the urban energy utilisation efficiency and shorten the study period.
