EKC: static or dynamic?

Soumyananda Dinda ()

International Journal of Global Environmental Issues, 2009, vol. 9, issue 1/2, 84-88

Abstract: This paper tests the robustness of the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis, using dynamic model specification for the long panel data set rather than static model. The monotonic income-CO2 emission relationship exists in most of the underdeveloped or developing economies, but EKC exists mostly in developed economies.

Keywords: EKC; environmental Kuznets curve; dynamic modelling; carbon dioxide emissions. (search for similar items in EconPapers)
