Team Global Logistics Pvt Ltd: driving employee engagement through employee empowerment

Abstract: In a time of increased competition, increased scrutiny from multiple stakeholders and the pandemic which engulfed the whole world, logistics industry is becoming mindful of the vital role that employee's play. It is crucial to retain talent using multiple motivational tools like involving them, giving them liberty to take decisions and most importantly engaging them. In this context, this study attempted to understand the processes followed by Team Global Logistics Pvt Limited to keep their employees engaged. It contributed in the area of employee engagement in logistics industry in India. The present study used a mixed method approach. Structured interviews were conducted with members of HR team to explore employee engagement practices. Further regression analysis was conducted to understand the impact of employee empowerment on employee engagement. Results confirmed the role of employee empowerment in enhancing employee engagement.
