Abstract: This paper aims to examine how age factor moderates the relationship between employee value proposition (EVP) attributes and measures of employee engagement such as organisational advocacy (OA) and intention to stay (IS). The study is cross-sectional in design, and an online survey was administered to collect data from 105 employees of an Indian non-banking finance company. Results show that extrinsic and intrinsic EVP attributes influence OA and IS measures of employee engagement significantly. In addition, employees' value preferences are dynamic, with intrinsic EVP significantly impacting engagement measures than extrinsic EVP as age increases. Research on EVP within Asian context is limited. Hence, by being one of the firsts to explore how age moderates the relationship between different conceptualisations of employee value proposition and employee attitudes among Indian employees, our study based on socio-emotional selectivity theory makes a significant contribution to EVP literature.
