European vs. Indian ITES employees: a comparison of their work attitude and behaviour

Abstract: This study compares the work attitude and behaviour of Indian and European employees. This study selects certain values and characteristics which are relevant to Indian information technology industry. The field survey method is used to collect data. Data are collected from total of 152 employees including equal number of Indians and Europeans. Mann-Whitney test statistics is applied to test hypothesis. A significant difference is noted between two groups of employees on the criteria such as sensitivity to hierarchy, 'no saying' attitude, giving strong feedback about colleagues, willingness to work with teams, work pressure and punctuality. There is no significant difference on gender bias. The study collects data based on the industry specific characteristics.
