Abstract: This work aims to present the Alegria Sewage Treatment Plant current design, development and operation data of conversion technologies like anaerobic digestors, esterification and pyrolysis plants, its products quality as biogas, biodiesel, bio-oil and bio-coal, and the electricity production system with biogas and dual fuel engines and a boiler with steam turbine. For the first time in Brazil, the natural gas from a sewage plant was certified for vehicle use. The results indicate a great potential for additional income, landfilling costs, and greenhouse gas emissions reductions. Moreover, reduces fossil fuels importation and electrical system transmission losses.
