Abstract:
The purpose of the paper was to establish new procedures for the selection of suppliers, which consisted in their evaluation. Proper evaluation of suppliers can be an important and prosperous step for many construction companies to gain long-term cooperation and trust. The aim of the paper was to point out the principle of sustainability in the construction sector and to create a model of sustainability for those companies. Proper application of the sustainability model in the corporate environment can bring new strategies and thus help create new added value for all parties involved in contractual partnerships. The methods that were chosen are the method of observation, data analysis and Scoring model and EFQM criterion etc. It was found that the construction process contributed to the emergence of links between the strategies of construction companies and individual operational activities. An important output for construction companies is a focus on strategic development and feasibility with construction suppliers.
