Abstract:
In the past few years, there have been major improvements in the robot technology and their utilisation in terms of truly advanced manufacturing systems. Although the successful implementation of advanced industrial robot offers manufacturing organisations numerous benefits, the assessment and preference of these technologies is a very versatile task due to the many parameters involved. The objective here is to help decision-makers to ensure that the selected industrial robot complies with the objective of the organisation. Thus, this paper mainly demonstrates and compares the ranking of the industrial robots using analytical hierarchy process and elimination and choice-translating algorithm. In this study, the model presented takes into consideration the economic and technical criteria.
Keywords: industrial robots; AHP; analytical hierarchy process; ELECTRE; advanced manufacturing systems; AMS; robot selection; robot ranking; technical criteria; economic criteria. (search for similar items in EconPapers)
