Prioritising (ranking) of indexes for measuring intellectual capital using FAHP and fuzzy TOPSIS techniques

Abstract:
According to the significant and increasing role of knowledge in economy, business, and managerial processes, identifying the nature of intellectual capital and its measurement are getting increasingly important. In this king of economy, intellectual capital is of most important organisational assets. Generally, organisational successes are originated from their intellectual capital. So, intellectual capital means mental information, knowledge, mental asset, and the experience which is applied for making value. The model of this study is tested on a sample of 30 experts in three oil companies in Iran which own about 90% of the market share in the oil industry. In this study, regarding to the different levels of sub-scale used for human resources, organisational asset, communicative asset, and sub-scale used for intellectual capital measuring indexes were ranked in oil industry by using fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy TOPSIS. The results obtained from both methods indicate that Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company is more significant than National Gas Company and Oil Product Distribution Company in the oil industry.
