Abstract:
Monitoring and diagnosis of a reduction gear via the characteristic information of tooth decay that can provide the signal of the stator current seems to be a complicated task. This work targets the detection of the tooth surface decay by means of spectral analysis of the phase current and that of the neutral one supplemented by a signature recognition of the operator to clean the failure pattern. The interpretation of the patterns corresponding to each failure can isolate faults and therefore make a reliable diagnosis. For this, a series of tests was performed on a 3 kW induction motor coupled to a gearbox with three floors.
