Abstract:
Precision engineering and manufacturing issues are becoming ever more important in current and future technologies used in aviation, aeronautics, and aerospace. New knowledge in this field will aid in the advancement of various technologies that are needed to gain industrial competitiveness. Selecting a machine tool plays a key role in designing, developing, and manufacturing a product effectively and efficiently. This study uses extended fuzzy analytic hierarchy process decision-making tool to propose better selection process among various alternatives. An illustrative example is presented to demonstrate the application of the method.
