Abstract:
Nowadays, we see a change in the pattern of maintenance; this is due to the globalisation and the fast development of information and communication technologies. As a consequence, a modern method of maintenance, e-maintenance has emerged and has been progressively reorganising the usual maintenance system. In this context, we wish to contribute through the generation of new working group situations for experts. This paper outlines the basic design concepts of an e-maintenance system. The main objective of our approach is to provide a flexible group interaction support for remote maintenance phases, such as diagnosis, reparation and control. The system is tailored to support resource management, interaction, communication and collaboration between experts of various disciplines working simultaneously on a same failure. The emphasis is put on the aspect of the mobility of the experts for the remote maintenance achievement.
