Success of enterprise wiki systems

Abstract: With the ever increasing use of Web 2.0 sites on internet, they are now being employed by organisations across the globe. One of the most widely used Web 2.0 tools in organisations is wiki technology, particularly in project management. It is important for organisations to measure the success of their wiki system implementation. So we propose an extension in DeLone and McLean's (2003) model by incorporating contextual factors with respect to wiki technology in a project management task to evaluate enterprise wiki systems. The study aims to help enterprises better understand how they can use the wikis having an effect on end-user performance. The proposed model will also be helpful for companies engaged in wiki development businesses, by aligning product improvements with end-user expectations and perceptions.
