International Journal of Knowledge Management in Tourism and Hospitality, 2025, vol. 4, issue 1, 63-74

Abstract: This study aims to investigate the importance of employee motivation and satisfaction in organisational success. The underlying question of this research focuses on optimising the relationship between employee motivation, satisfaction, and organisational success to promote a healthy and productive work environment. The adopted methodology is a case study of the company CONSAG (Portugal), and the data collection instruments include interviews and questionnaires. After a thorough analysis of motivation and job satisfaction, it is clear that they are fundamental for long-term organisational success, directly influencing operational effectiveness, innovation, and resilience. Motivation, as an internal drive towards goals, and satisfaction, related to the work experience, are interconnected and essential. Leadership strategies and the development of emotional skills are crucial for strengthening the bond between employees and the organisation. Recognising that motivation and satisfaction are dynamic, organisations must adopt a continuous approach to promoting a healthy and rewarding work environment. The analysis of CONSAG's practices demonstrates that investing in employee well-being leads to improvements in organisational performance and customer satisfaction, underscoring the importance of such initiatives for the overall success of the company.
