Abstract: In this article the current models of Intellectual Capital (IC) are examined in the context of Human Resource Management (HRM) both in the public and private sectors with a special emphasis on the association of the management of IC with competitive advantage. The article presents the current view of IC management as well as discussing the evolving nature of HRM in the 21st century where there is a necessity for organisations to be dynamic both in the context of the management of individual capabilities and the management of organisational structure.
