The effectiveness of parcel locker that affects the delivery options among online shoppers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Abstract: Business services nowadays are being transformed, conceived and developed due to the innovative self-service technology. Parcel locker is being added as last mile delivery method since it provides consumers with various conveniences such as dictating time, pace, location and ultimately the result of the delivery service. However, there is room for raising the awareness of parcel locker service in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Hence, this study will focus on the factors to determine the effectiveness of lockers for parcel delivery that affect the delivery options among online shoppers in Kuala Lumpur. The study provides insights into the adoption of parcel locker service in the online purchasing sector as well. Among the implication of the findings, researchers found out that functions such as returning and picking up parcels brought to online shoppers by parcel locker service are the main drivers for adopting the new arising last mile delivery method.
