Abstract:
The objective of this article is to contribute to the understanding of factors playing a role in the wider adoption of EFVs in commercial fleets by exploring motivational factors leading to fleet managers adopting EFVs. This exploration is based on a review and analysis of the electric vehicles literature, particularly related to commercial fleets and freight transport. Our study differs from the previous studies by providing a more comprehensive literature review and by identifying the factors impacting systems of EFVs over a two-dimensional framework, including financial, operational and behavioural issues. The highlights of the study are that it provides a comprehensive literature review about the diffusion of electric freight vehicles in commercial fleets, suggests a two-dimensional framework for identifying the factors in adoption of electric freight vehicles in commercial fleets, and gives a summary of factors which is corresponding to the adoption of electric freight vehicles.
