Abstract:
Transportation is a primary key factor for the operations of any successful supply chain. However, transportation management must be efficient and well organised, even though the possibility of damaging and interrupting an event is more likely to happen due to the competitive and globalise environment nowadays. This study conducts a comprehensive literature review focused on the transportation aspects of the supply chain precisely. The aim is to classify the recent literature on different aspects of supply chain transportation and to address the consideration of disruptions in transportation studies. Therefore, a conceptual framework is developed to analyse the interrelated relationship among the disruption factors, identify the research gaps and recommend future works for researchers.
