International Journal of Management Concepts and Philosophy, 2018, vol. 11, issue 3, 315-339

Abstract: Green manufacturing (GM) concepts provide suitable solutions for balancing efficiency and environmental concerns. The objective of this paper is to provide an extensive bibliometric literature review on 'green manufacturing' as a term and concept. Articles were located through publish or perish software and the Google Scholar database. Scanning by scimagojr.com (Q1 and Q2), we analysed 76 articles from 39 reputable journals from 1 January 1998 to 31 December 2017 (a period of 20 years). Mendeley software was used to manage and resume the references. We have reviewed this database and attempted to classify articles using VOSviewer software. Three clusters were reviewed; the words most frequently occurring in each group were 'practice', 'model', and 'industry'. This cluster represents the research streams of green manufacturing.
