Introducing the 'I4.0 maturity model', a systematic tool assessing organisational readiness, comprises of seven dimensions and 34 maturity facets. Validation entails exploratory case studies and surveys across automotive components, food processing, and electronics sectors. Notably transformative for manufacturing, I4.0 gains prominence post-COVID-19, emphasising digitalisation and automation's significance for resilience. Insights gleaned elucidate challenges confronting Indian manufacturers, proffering actionable recommendations for I4.0 integration.
