Fuzzy SMART-based ranking of factors affecting the performance of the manufacturing industry in North India

Abstract:
A company's core functional competencies are its jewels; hence, they should be cultivated and maintained with great care. Based on the competencies that a company possesses, it can decide on future business directions. The present article is based on decision-making analysis and ranking of factors which affect core functional competencies and further the performance of an organisation. From the study, it has been concluded that out of nine factors grouping is done whereby the first three factors are named as critical factors, the second group of three factors are named as important factors and the last three are given the name of least effective alternatives. This analysis has been done by using fuzzy SMART decision-making method.
