Abstract:
This study primarily aims to develop the profile of technopreneurs based upon their background and motivation. To achieve this, firstly a review of literature is made to find the prime motives for starting a business. Then with the help of factor analysis, five prime factors of motivation technopreneurs to start a business are identified. With the help of cluster and discriminant analysis, two groups of technopreneurs, i.e. externally influenced and internally motivated technopreneurs, are identified.
